On 20 July 2010 a teary-eyed Lindsay Lohan surrendered at L.A. County’s Century Regional Detention Facility to begin the 90-day jail term a Beverly Hills judge had handed her two weeks earlier for repeatedly violating probation on her 2007 DUI–drug case.
Moments after deputies snapped the orange-jumpsuited booking photo above, the Sheriff’s Department quietly confirmed she would serve about 14 days because of chronic overcrowding. Lohan was released on 2 August 2010 and sent straight to court-ordered rehab.
The year wasn’t over: after failing a drug test she returned to Lynwood on 24 September 2010, generating a second 2010 mugshot (this time with auburn hair). A judge granted bail the same day, so the follow-up photo became little more than another entry in her now-seven-strong mugshot portfolio.
